A model of Venetian blind associated simple or a double glazing is proposed in this article. Simplified modeling is based on a 2D approach (not taken into account of the effects edges) and separately treats the transmission of direct and the diffuse one. The evolutions of the form factors and the solar flows transmitted according to the degree of opening of the blind, of the slope of the plates, the position of the sun in the sky are taken into account and the models used are described. The interest of the management of the degree of the opening (height of the blind covering the window) and of its slope is shown through the simulations carried out on different type of building (house of dwelling, offices...) in various places in Europe, the model of blind having been implemented in a computer code developed years our laboratory. There is in
general a position of the plates which varies at every moment (each hour in our modeling) and which makes it possible to intercept the direct solar radiation. This situation is compared with other alternatives in order to create a method of optimal management of the blinds.
