2013 marked the start of IEA EBC Annex 62 and thus a four-year period with great developments in the field of ventilative cooling. This year, the annex is coming to a closure and finds its participants working hard to deliver the project’s final outcomes.
The AIVC workshop: “Is ventilation the answer to indoor air quality control in buildings? Do we need performance-based approaches? will take place in Brussels, Belgium on 14-15 March, 2017. The event aims to identify the pros and cons of performance-based approaches and metrics that can be considered to assess the indoor air quality (IAQ) performance of ventilation systems, as well as to draft guidelines for their use in standards and regulations.

Welcome to the 'Blue Pages'. This is where the Editorial Advisory Panel for Building Services Engineering Research and Technology publishes state-of-the-art articles on developments in building services engineering practice and research. The articles are very short, on one theme of current interest, and are edited by a guest editor rather than going through the longer refereeing process for conventional research papers. This is to encourage consultants and contractors to discuss their latest developments in a non-commercial manner.
Save the date for the AIVC webinar: "On the quest for indices defining Indoor Air Quality. What is a reasonable approach?" to be held on Friday January 13, 2017 at 10:00-10:45 CET.
The Building America program is organizing the webinar:"Score with Indoor Air Quality", to be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 9:00 PM - 10:30 PM CEST. In this event, Dr. Brett Singer, from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, will present on the development of an indoor air quality (IAQ) scoring system and the planned elements of a national new home study.
