AIVC organized the webinar “New Perspectives on Kitchen Ventilation” held on Thursday 23 May 2019 at 16:00-17:30 (CET). The  webinar discussed kitchen venting, including measurements of contaminants that are emitted from cooking, discussions of kitchen exhaust ventilation system performance and guidance on best practices for kitchen ventilation.

AIVC 2019 workshop “Quality ventilation is the key to achieving low energy healthy buildings”

The presentations of the AIVC workshop "Quality ventilation is the key to achieving low energy healthy buildings" organized by the AIVC together with the SEAI and held on 27-28 March 2019 in Dublin, Ireland are now available for download.

This 2 day workshop provided a wealth of insights from experiences both nationally and internationally. It informed approach on ventilation as a key component of delivering both new buildings and deep retrofit low energy buildings.

AIVC 2019 Conference, 15 -16 October 2019, Ghent

The 40th AIVC Conference  “From Energy crisis to sustainable indoor climate – 40 years of AIVC" will be held during the 15th & 16th of October, 2019 at ‘Het Pand’, the congress centre of Ghent University in Ghent, Belgium. Survey -Stakeholder consultation EPBD Article 19a feasibility study - Inspection of stand-alone ventilation systems

Article 19a of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) requires the European Commission to conduct a feasibility study on the possible introduction of the inspection of stand-alone ventilation systems and an optional building renovation passport. In this scope, a technical study has been contracted to a consortium formed by INIVE and BPIE who, together with a broad range of experts in the required fields, provide technical support to the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission.

Ireland joins the AIVC!

The AIVC is very pleased to welcome Ireland as new participating country! Ireland will be represented in the AIVC board by Simon Jones from Aereco (https://www.aereco.ie/). The AIVC at present counts 17 countries composing the AIVC Board demonstrating the growing interest on air infiltration and ventilation issues in new and renovated buildings.
