At the BUILDAIR Symposium 2023 I was able to present the national annex to SN EN ISO 9972 which entered into force on December 2022. I then talked about a Minergie pilot project with roller shutters.
In the meantime, this pilot project has turned into two projects and I was able to carry out successful BD tests to certify two industrial buildings according to Minergie-P with a large number and area of roller shutters. Normally, roller shutter doors have many leaks due to their design and may be taped off to verify compliance with the limit values. Advances in manufacturing and assembly improved the airtightness of roller shutters. Accordingly, the quality of many critical components has indeed improved in the last 10 years. Thus, it was no longer necessary to tape them off during airtightness tests.
How did we conduct the tests and localize leaks by using thermography? Were there any leaks we missed?
