The outlook of thefuture development of building services ispresented in the form of technology roadmaps.Overall, the building services roadmap consistsof six separate roadmaps. The 'meta-roadmap'summarises the results of the research project. The sub-level roadmaps are for buildingservices systems and equipment, for networkedbuilding services, for building serviceslife-cycle design processes, for the interfacesfrom building services to both buildings andtheir infrastructure, and for the business modelsand service concepts of building services. The time-scale for each of the roadniaps wasdivided into three: state-of-the-art, short-term(1-5 years), and long-term (5-15 years). Along-term vision was created for each roadmap. This paper gives an overview of the roadmapsfocusing on the 'meta-roadmap' and theroadmap of building services systems andequipment, and business models and serviceconcepts. Drivers, markets, products andsolutions, and technologies were considered inthese roadmaps. In addition, the majordevelopment paths in building services aresummarized in the paper.
