The main objective of this research is thepresentation of a method for finding lightingand power outlet energy consumption volume, which is both easy to calculate, and possesses acertain degree of accuracy, fiom the Japanesebackground of few lighting & outlet energydata and usefbl caclulation tools. Firstly, theexisting and newly measured data of officebuildings and commercial buildings werecollected, and the consumption structures wereanalyzed. Then, considering the results ofanalysis described above, the calculationalgorithm based on the concept of CECIL(Coefficient of Energy Consumption forLighting) in the energy-saving laws of Japanwith lumen method for main area was proposedfor the lighting consumption. As to theelectrical outlet consumption, 3-leveledelectrical densities were considered. Finally,to carry out above calculation process with ease, the tool using general-purpose spreadsheetsoftware was developed.
