The International Energy Agency's Technology Collaboration Programme on Energy in Buildings and Communities (IEA-EBC) is organizing the webinar "The Science and Communication of Energy-Efficient Indoor Environments" to be held on Tuesday November 10th, 2020 at 13:00-15:30 (CET). The aim of this webinar is to share the outcomes of several concluding EBC research projects in this area and to provide updates on some of the innovative work taking place within the programme.
TightVent Europe and the Air Infiltration and Ventilation Centre are organizing the webinar "Better Quantifying and Locating Building Leakages" to be held on Monday November 30th, 2020 at 10:30-11:45 (CET). The objective of this webinar is to discuss existing methods to measure the airtightness of individual buildings components.
On October 14th, 2020 the European Commission released its Renovation Wave Strategy. According to the communication document, “the objective is to at least double the annual energy renovation rate of residential and non-residential buildings by 2030 and to foster deep energy renovations. Mobilising forces at all levels towards these goals will result in 35 million building units renovated by 2030. The increased rate and depth of renovation will have to be maintained also post-2030 in order to reach EU-wide climate neutrality by 2050”.
The International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (ISIAQ) is delighted to announce the opening of the Call for Abstracts and Workshop Proposals for next summer’s twin conferences Healthy Buildings 2021, to be held in two locations, Europe and America, in June and August respectively, with a shared International Summer School.
This new annex was approved in June 2020. The goal of Annex 86 is to propose an integrated rating method for the performance assessment and optimization of energy efficient strategies of managing the indoor air quality (IAQ) in new and existing residential buildings. This integrated performance assessment will accelerate the development of better and more energy efficient IAQ management strategies to address rapidly changing expectations of the home environment due to challenges such as peak oil, climate change or pandemics.
