The 1st international QUALICHeCK Conference “Towards improved compliance and quality of the works for better performing buildings” will take place in the KBC auditorium: Havenlaan 2, 1080 Brussels, Belgium

The event represents the main physical opportunity to expand dialogue on compliance and quality issues for energy efficiency in buildings, with the initial QUALICHeCK project findings as one of the starting points for discussion.

The Conference will cover among others:

ASHRAE and IBPSA-USA are convening this conference to improve the industry’s ability to accurately model building performance. The conference merges the IBPSA-USA SimBuild and ASHRAE Energy Modeling Conferences. The focus is on making better decisions through the application of simulation and modeling over the entire building life cycle from the earliest concept through operation and maintenance.

The 1st AIVC Conference -Air infiltration instrumentation and measuring techniques, was held in Windsor, Berkshire, UK, 6-8 October 1980. 

The 2nd AIVC Conference - Building design for minimum air infiltration, was held in Stockholm, Sweden, 21-23 September 1981. 

The 3rd AIVC Conference - Energy efficient domestic ventilation systems for achieving acceptable indoor air quality, was held in London, UK, 20-23 September 1982.

The 4th AIVC Conference - Air infiltration reduction in existing buildings, was held in Elm, Switzerland, 26-28 September 1983.

The 5th AIVC Conference - The implementation and effectiveness of air infiltration standards in buildings was held in Reno, Nevada, US, 1-4 October 1984.

The 6th AIVC Conference - Ventilation strategies and measurement techniques was held in the Southern Netherlands, 16-19 September 1985.

The 7th AIVC Conference - Occupant interaction with ventilation systems was held in Stratford-upon-Avon, UK, 29 September - 2 October 1986.

The 8th AIVC Conference - Ventilation technology research and application, was held in Ueberlingen, Germany, 21-24 September 1987.
