Paper, poster & student competition awards were given during the closing session of the joint 43^rd AIVC – 11^th TightVent – 9^th venticool conference: “Ventilation, IEQ and health in sustainable buildings” held in Copenhagen, Denmark on 4-5 October 2023.

The evaluation questionnaire of the 43^rd AIVC conference: “Ventilation, IEQ & health in sustainable buildings” was sent out to 200 attendees of the event. 98 participants filled in the evaluation form. We are happy to share with you a summary of the main results!

The AIVC has just released a new publication!

AIVC's Ventilation Information Paper #47: High-rise buildings airtightness – error due to stack effect on point measurements gives guidance to perform a pressurization test in high-rise buildings and suggests new criteria to replace standard requirements when they cannot be met.

A special issue of Buildings (ISSN 2075-5309)  is now open for submission.

This Special Issue is motivated by the importance of the airtightness of buildings in terms of indoor air quality and the energy implications of heat transfer. Currently, it is not possible to design and construct nZEB buildings without taking this parameter into account, and it is essential that we can determine this parameter in buildings to be renovated in order to achieve a significant improvement in their final energy consumption. 

The date for the AIVC -TightVent - venticool 2023 Conference: “Ventilation, IEQ and health in sustainable buildings” is now approaching quickly! The conference will be held during 4-5 October 2023 in Copenhagen, Denmark. 

More than 190 people have booked their seats for the event!

The event will open with a welcome reception on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at 19:00. 

The conference will start on Wednesday October 4, 2023 at 09:00. On-site registration will be open from 08:00.
