Around 55 participants from 16 countries attended the international workshop on “Ventilation and Airtightness in Buildings : Voluntary and Regulatory Frameworks to Improve Quality and Compliance” which was held in Lund, Sweden on March 16-17, 2015.  

One topic of specific attention was schemes implemented in various countries to reduce errors in ventilation and airtightness input data used in energy performance certificates and to improve the quality of the works. Discussions were based on analyses of lessons learnt from field data.

Specific sessions included:

Registration to the 36th AIVC -  5th TightVent- 3rd venticool: "Effective ventilation in high performance buildings"  joint conference is now open. 

Paper and poster awards were given during the closing session of the joint 35th AIVC, 4th TightVent and 2nd venticool Conference held in Poznań, Poland on 23-24 September, 2014.

Best paper award:

The handbook: "Building Thermography-including blower door and heat flux meter"  approaches the technique both from a theoretical and practical point of view. It includes one chapter dedicated to the technical characteristics of thermal cameras and software, two chapters dedicated to blower door test and its synergy with thermography with an explanation of standards and case histories and a final chapter which treats heat flux meter and measuring of thermal transmittance in situ.

Around 150 participants attended the joint 35th AIVC –4th TightVent -2nd venticool conference held in Poznan, Poland September 24-25, 2014. The programme consisted of 3 parallel tracks with contributions from 27 countries and international organizations. Over 100 presentations were given covering topics including air infiltration through leaks in the building envelope and ductwork, ventilation in relation to IAQ and health, ventilative cooling and thermal comfort.

The analysis of the 35th AIVC- 4th TightVent- 2nd venticool Conference  evaluation survey has been finalized.

The evaluation questionnaire of the 35th AIVC conference: “Ventilation and airtightness in transforming the building stock to high performance” was sent out to 124 attendees of the event. The summary report is the result of the feedback from 64 of the participants who filled in the evaluation form.

The workshop was held in September 2014 in Uxbridge, UK with the main objective to present current work by the IEA EBC Annex 62, an international collaborative project on ventilative cooling.

The 36th AIVC conference: 'Effective ventilation in high performance buildings' will be held in the city of Madrid, Spain together with the 5th TightVent and the 3rd venticool conferences in September 23-24, 2015. It will be a major international event in 2015 focusing on the following topics:
