Successful completion of the 36th AIVC - 5th TightVent - 3rd venticool joint Conference

Around 160 participants attended the joint 36th AIVC - 5th TightVent – 3rd venticool conference held in Madrid, Spain September 23-24, 2015. The programme consisted of 3 parallel sessions with contributions from 27 countries and international organisations.

Over 120 presentations were given covering topics ranging from ventilative cooling and thermal comfort, ventilation in relation to IAQ and health, air infiltration through leaks in the building envelope and ductwork.

The 36th AIVC conference: 'Effective ventilation in high performance buildings' was held on 23 & 24 September 2015 in Madrid together with the 5th TightVent and the 3rd venticool conferences. There were 160 participants.

31 March - 1 April 2009, Workshop, Barcelona - Summer comfort and cooling

The main purpose of this workshop was to present and discuss the evolutions in the national regulations related to summer comfort and cooling:

  • In terms of standards for achieving good summer comfort
  • For improving energy efficiency during the summer period
  • Regarding building solar control
  • Regarding amortisation and dissipation techniques
  • Regarding night time ventilation for passive cooling
  • Regarding (free) cooling techniques

An AIVC country membership gives the following  rights:
  • Each participating country has one vote on the AIVC Board and may send two individuals to any meeting of the AIVC Board. 
  • Each participating country has the right to join any AIVC-approved working group or other similar activity.
